古时候有个书生叫车胤（yìn），
青年时家庭极苦贫。
车胤从小就爱读书，
买不起灯油生郁闷。
到夏天他捉了许多萤火虫，
装进了纱袋把口扎紧。
萤火虫光亮虽微弱，
也能照亮儿读诗文。
这样的苦学精神人称赞，
新时代读书条件胜古人，
雪亮的电灯照耀下，
朋友们怎能不发奋！
假若是虚度青春好年华，
对不起国家和亲人。
To Read with the Light of Fireflies
In ancient times there was a scholar named Che Yin。Che Yin loved to read from an early age，but what troubled him was that his family couldn't afford an oil lamp。
In summer he caught many fireflies and he tied them up inside a gauze bag。Dim as the fireflies'light was，it did supply the light for his reading。People as keen as him at their studies are highly praised。
We have better conditions nowadays-under electric bright lights，why not study hard my young friends？If you trifle away your youth，you'll not live up to the motherland and your folks。
