关于电脑的操作
随着现代科技，特别是计算机及网络技术的发展，出现了大量的新词。不过稍加注意，我们便会发现“彻头彻尾”的新词并不多见。多数计算机词汇属于“旧瓶装新酒”，借用一些常用的词汇来表达新的意思。
现在一打开计算机，我们先要进入Windows，这Windows 家族很庞大，有不同的version(版本)。接下去我们在desktop (桌面)上找到一个icon (图标)，它代表一个program (程序)或file (文件)，用mouse (鼠标)点击这个icon，结束一项task (任务)后，你可以exit (退出)。
像window是借生活中的窗户，可以打开、关闭，故而Windows 操作系统也译作“视窗”操作系统；version 一词原指出版物的不同版本，在这里被用来指先后推出的各种操作系统；desktop 是由desk 和top 这两个常用词拼合而成，因为桌面上可以摆放东西，自然而然地排列着许多图标的平面就被称为“桌面”；program 一词通常指按照一定顺序进行的计划、安排等，被用来指按照一定步骤运行的计算机程序也颇为贴切；file 是记录事情的文件、档案、卷宗等；接下来要说到的就是那个拖着长长的尾巴的被称为mouse 的家伙，的确十分形象；在计算机完成一些task 后，我们就从“exit”退出。同样我们把上网叫做surfing，就是我们是常在电视中会见到的冲浪，而我们这些“弄潮儿”自然就是surfer 了。上网要么是browse (浏览)信息，要么是visit(访问)某个website (站点)，再要么就是收发e mail等。

什么是肥皂剧

A：The other is that it could have acquired its name because some monks were starving and Buddha， in the form of a wild goose， dropped down close to them. The monks， being vegetarians， refused to eat it.
